Parent coaching is an opportunity to experience individualized consultation on specific parenting challenges and is a powerful way to increase personal learning. The parent educator is there to listen, give objective feedback, support and encouragement to you as a parent. Positive Discipline books, resource material and strategies are used to help you to gain new tools and increase your skills and effectiveness as a parent.
You will benefit much more from parent coaching if you have read at least one of the Positive Discipline books. We recommend that you read the newly revised (25th anniversary) edition of Positive Discipline by Jane Nelsen or one of the Positive Discipline books tailored to the age of your children, such as Positive Discipline: The First Three Years, Positive Discipline for Preschoolers or Positive Discipline for Teenagers.
Sessions are available in person, by phone or on Zoom.
There is no need to commit to more than one session. Sessions can be requested on an as needed basis.
